THERAPIST

Sabrina Reyner, AMFT

I graduated from the California Institute of Integral Studies in 2023 with a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology. The focus on Somatic Psychology deepened my understanding of how our emotions shape the way we feel about ourselves and others — and how that, in turn, touches every part of our lives. At the center of it all are our relationships, the threads that connect us across past, present, and future.

Being in a committed, intimate relationship can touch some of our most vulnerable places. I aim to make the therapeutic space a safe one for exploring difficult thoughts and feelings — a place to practice listening, and to truly feel what is being heard. Together, we can exhale, soften, and settle into the present moment.

I work with clients across the different stages of relationship: early courtship, the lead-up to marriage, and the aftermath of betrayal — using the whole body as a source of both information and transformation. What do you notice when you move close to someone? What shifts when you pull away?

It's this kind of moment — where the body reveals what words can't quite reach, and something genuinely shifts — that continues to drive my work. Holding that space, with steady and grounded presence, is where I feel most useful as a therapist.

We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.
