Cheryl is a compassionate and experienced couples therapist with over two decades of experience working with couples from diverse backgrounds. Over the years, Cheryl has found the Gottman Method to be a particularly effective approach in helping couples navigate challenges and build stronger, healthier relationships. Rooted in 40 years of research by the Gottman Institute, this evidence-based method identifies patterns of successful relationships and offers practical tools and mindset shifts to foster connection and understanding. The Gottman Method has been shown to be effective across many backgrounds, including neurodiverse couples and the LGBTQIA+ community.

Cheryl received training in the Gottman Method at the Gay Couples Institute, where she had the privilege of being mentored by its founders. Other therapies that she utilizes include Transactional Analysis, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Relational Therapy. Her work is informed by her commitment to creating neuro-affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming spaces. She is dedicated to ongoing learning and reflection, with an awareness of intersectionality and a focus on honoring the diverse identities and experiences of those she works with.

We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.
